A Surprising Rally at Vipul Belmonte

New People new Tennis Court explored🏠🎾

Today, I visited a new location to conduct tennis classes—Vipul Belmonte, nestled along Golf Course Road in Sector 53, Gurgaon. The setting was striking: high-rise buildings encircled the area, with the tennis court tucked away at the far end of the society. It felt like a hidden gem.

An elderly gentleman arrived for a hitting session. After a thorough warm-up and stretching routine, we began rallying. To my surprise, he unleashed heavy topspin forehands and crisp, flat single-handed backhands—both remarkably effective. His consistency during long rallies was impressive.

What truly amazed me was his ability to handle my heavy topspin shots with ease. We rallied continuously for about 50 minutes before taking a short break. He then began serving, and I returned from the opposite end, continuing the rhythm with serve-based rallies.

Throughout the session, he kept asking for feedback—wondering if his game was up to the mark. I told him honestly, “You’ve surprised me. Your game is genuinely good.”

The Court Itself 🌲🎾

The surface was synthetic, surrounded by a blend of nature and towering buildings. A peaceful yet energizing space to play.

What I Learned

  • Age is just a number
  • Every court has a story
  • Surprise lives in every rally
  • Consistency and dedication build lasting strength
